Spark a Feeling of Warmth with Apple Cinnamon
Summer brings with it a playful and inspiring entourage: melting popsicles, deepening tans, lakeside shenanigans and downright gorgeous sunsets. What better way to make the most of summer’s longer days than by glamming up your space with sunset wall art inspired by our 2015 Escape to the Lake Collection™?
Before you unleash your inner decorator, you’ll need to grab a few items: 4”x4” canvas squares from your local craft store, spray paint in variety of your favorite pastel colors and mounting tape or push pins to hang your masterpieces.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Find a well-ventilated area and lay out a paint cloth.
You’ll be glad you avoided the whole how-to-get-paint-off-floors Internet search.
2. Completely spray paint each canvas.
Go to town with the paint. White areas will just not fly.
3. Choose a second color and diffuse spray paint throughout half the canvas.
Pro tip: holding the can a little further out is a real game changer when it comes to creating an ombré look.
4. Allow your works of art to dry.
The whole drying sitch should be done in about 15 minutes, but there’s no harm in leaving a little more dry time.
5. Display them for the world (a.k.a your guests) to see.
Hang your canvases and prepare for some serious oohs and ahhhs.
In need of a do over?
If you mess up, no biggie! Simply repaint, let it dry and give it another go.
